It was the final home game of the season game for the Cougars and they faced up against conference rival Robert Morris University. The Cougars have been red hot lately and want to continue this streak by getting a W in front of their home crowd.

And that they did as the Cougars took the win at 3 sets to RMU’s none. Sophomore Helena Atton (who was named CCAC Attacker of the Week) was lights out in this game Atton had 12 kills and had a .400 attack percentage. Seeing as though this was the final home game of the season, SXU honored 3 of its senior players. Seniors Erica Harris, Natalie Carberry, and Kathleen Miller.

The Cougars matched up against Cardinal Stretch University. With CCAC Volleyball Tournament coming up, teams are going to start to play more seriously to ensure a top seed for home court advantage. With the run SXU has been on, this win can propel them to a first-round home court advantage. Will they rise to the occasion?

Yes, they will. The Cougars won the game, 3 sets to CSU’s 1. Helena Atton continued to carry the team as she totaled a team-high 16 kills and 5 block assists.

With this win, the Cougars should be confident that they get a top seed in the tournament. All they have to do now is await their seeding.

The CCAC Volleyball Tournament begins on Tuesday, November 8th.
