“No Me Queda Más” – Selena (Song)
“No Me Queda Más” is a song that has always been dear to me. It was one of the first songs I heard from Selena, an artist that my dad introduced me to in childhood.
Though this song is about heartbreak, for me it is a song of nostalgia and one that bonds me with my father. It reminds me of the simple joys of childhood, like getting up early on the weekend to eat tamales before cleaning.
I never registered how sad it truly was until I was older, as I’ve never been one to pay attention to lyrics. Nowadays, it’s a song I love to listen to when I drive. It’s fun to sing along to (and thankfully I still can’t relate to it!)
