It’s the 4th meet of the season for the track team and they find themselves competing on a sunny day at Benedictine university
Women
Junior Nicole Watkins had a fairly good outing as she finished in the “B” standard for the 1500 meter run, and she ran a personal best finishing with a time of 4:42.29. Also experiencing success at the meet was: Freshman Alex Lambros who finished in sixth place overall in the triple jump at 10.66 meters
Freshman Jess Wittmayer took 14th place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:58.96. These are amazing numbers posted by the women, and they will only continue to progress as the track season continues.
Men
For the men, they enjoyed great success in the 4×800 relay race as they in 3rd place with a time 8:00.9. This team consisted of senior Rexford Wiafe, junior Abel Hernandez, and junior Alan Guzman. This was a dominant performance by these three men.
This dominance didn’t end there as senior Janis Pastars finished second overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:59.85. sophomore Kyonn Keith claimed fourth place in the 100-meter dash with a solid time of 11.04 seconds.
