Three Fast Food Spots Near Campus You Need To Check Out

Hey, Cougars! Looking for a quick bite to eat somewhere near campus? Here is a list of places you should consider checking out, some having been recommended by Saint Xavier students themselves.

Wojo’s

To kick off our list, Wojo’s is a fast food restaurant less than five minutes from Saint Xavier’s campus. The consensus of many students is that this place is a must, especially if you are a shake lover. Wojo’s offers about 70 different shake flavors to choose from. This ranges everywhere from chocolate chip to bubblegum. They also offer shakes of the month, as well as seasonal flavors.

Apart from the wide variety of drinks, Wojo’s offers several fast food options. They have different kinds of burgers, including the mushroom and pepper pizza burger, as well as the cheddar or nacho cheeseburger. The menu includes hot dogs, appetizers, and other sandwiches to look into too.

If you are interested in stopping by, Wojo’s is located at 9851 S Pulaski Road in Evergreen Park. They are open from 10 AM to 10 PM every day except for Sunday, where they open at 11 AM instead. Here is their full menu

Mr. Gyros

Up next, Mr. Gyros is another fast food restaurant near campus. It is just under a ten minute drive. This location is recommended by student Denis Gelumbauskas, a current senior at Saint Xavier. He says, “This place is very decently priced, family owned, and you get a good amount of food. Definitely a favorite of mine.”

While a lot of the menu revolves around gyro sandwiches, this restaurant offers a lot more to choose from. Some of this includes seafood options, burgers, hot dogs, ribs, salads, desserts, and more. With this wide range, along with a big selection of meal options, Mr. Gyros is worth the visit.

Mr. Gyros is located at 9229 S Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn. They are closed on Sundays, but open from 10 AM to 9 PM every other day of the week. Click here to view their whole menu.

Rosie’s Drive-In

To end the list, we have Rosie’s, a five minute drive from campus, and one that we highly encourage you to visit. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat that is reasonably priced, Rosie’s has you covered.

The menu consists of specials, salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, seafood, and deep fried food. Along with all this, there are also both Italian and Mexican food options. The variety is sure to give you several options to choose from.
