Looking to go and see a great theatrical production? The Goodman Theatre proudly presents the Young Vic production of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge.
The production is directed by Belgian director Ivo van Hove, and the play follows the story of Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman, whose immigrant cousins come to America. One of his cousins falls for his niece, Catherine, and Eddie’s jealous mistrust leads to an unspeakable secret being exposed. The play has had sold-out runs in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. and has was nominated for five Tony Awards in 2016. The production won two of those awards, one for Best Revival and Ivan van Hove took another home for Best Direction of a Play. The well-acclaimed production has received rave reviews like “One of the great theatrical productions of the decade. Not to be missed” (The Times of London) and “Theater simply doesn’t get any better than this” (Huffington Post).
A View From the Bridge runs through October 15 in the Albert Theatre at the Goodman and the theatre is offering an experience like no other for those who would like to see the play more up-close and personal. Instead of sitting out in the crowd, they are offering patrons the option of sitting directly on stage. The seats are limited so purchasing these tickets early in highly recommended.
