In the celebrity world, celebrity pairings may come as a shock to some. Last week, it was confirmed after much speculation that Singer-Songwriter Gwen Stefani and Country star Blake Shelton are indeed dating.
Many think that they are an odd duo and lots are not pleased that they are shoving their PDA in the media’s face as they both have recently divorced from their ex-spouses. With this new odd couple in mind, let’s take a look at their new relationship and past celebrity relationships that will have you say, “They were actually together”?
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton- Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are both judges on the hit NBC show The Voice and little did people know that these two would develop a relationship together. Stefani was previously married to singer Gavin Rossdale for 13 years and they have three children together. Rossdale filed for divorce back on August 3.
Shelton was previously married to Country sensation Miranda Lambert for 4 years and Shelton was the one to file the papers less than a month earlier than Rossdale. The world was stunned with both divorces but Blake and Miranda’s came as more of a shock because they seemed like the perfect couple.
Shelton and Stefani were first photographed together at a Halloween party and then made their official debut as a couple at the CMA Awards after party. Though it is early in the relationship, it seems like this one will not last very long.
Sandra Bullock and Ryan Gosling- Many may not remember this couple being together but yes folks, this actually happened. Before Gosling’s career took off, he was dating America’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock in the early 2000s.
Their relationship lasted just over a year until they finally decided to part ways. They both met on the set of the movie they both co-starred in called Murder by Numbers. Gosling was 16 years her junior so that could also be a reason why the relationship fizzled out.
Gosling was also the one to put the kibosh on the relationship. Supposedly, Bullock had a rough time getting over him and was afraid to run into him at award shows. Bullock is now in a new relationship with Bryan Randall, a model-turned photographer and is a mom to her adopted son, Louie. Gosling is also doing just fine with Eva Mendes and they both welcomed a baby girl named Esmeralda back in the fall of 2014.
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore- These two were probably one of the most shocking couples that has emerged throughout the years. Kutcher was 25 and Moore was 41 when they first met back in 2003 at a casual dinner with friends.
Two years later, the couple married. Moore was previously married to actor Bruce Willis but they divorced in 2000. They had three children together. Kutcher and Moore’s marriage lasted until 2013. Kutcher is now married to former That’s 70’s Show co-star Mila Kunis and they have a daughter named Wyatt.
One of Moore’s daughter’s, Rumer Willis, admitted in an interview that she had a poster of Kutcher on her wall (at the time she was 17) but took it down once her mom started seeing Kutcher. Awkward…
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon- If this couple did not make you say “what-the-what” then I do not know what does. Carey and Cannon first met in 2005 when Cannon presented a Teen Choice Award to Carey. Reportedly, Cannon was interested in Carey but they did not officially become a couple until 2008.
In April of that same year, they shockingly got married and both of them got tattoos of each other’s name. After having a miscarriage, they announced two years later that Carey was pregnant.
In April 2011, Cannon and Carey welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe, or as they refer to them as “Dem Babies”. Eventually, there was speculation that there was trouble in paradise and after 6 years of marriage, they divorced in 2015.
Carey is now dating millionaire James Packer and Nick Cannon continues his duties on Wild ‘N Out and America’s Got Talent. As you can tell, Hollywood has had its fair share of odd couples.
They left us scratching our heads on numerous occasions wondering how could they possibly be together.
Below are some other notable relationships that flopped, while a few are still going strong:
-Cher and Tom Cruise (Cher also dated Richie Sambora)
-Sandra Bullock and Jesse James
-Heidi Klum and Seal
-David Cross and Amber Tamblyn
-Paris Hilton and Benji Madden
-Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman (Rodman also dated Madonna)
