Saint Xavier’s football team clinched their fourth win in a row, with a score of 17-10 against Olivet Nazarene this past Saturday.
It was a low scoring game considering it was a rivalry game. Each team fought back and forth for the ball, attempting to make something of each drive.
The first half was a dominant offensive force by the cougars.
In the first half, Junior Quarterback, Stuart Ross, found Senior Wide Receiver, Justin Pringle, in the endzone twice in the first half. Also, Kicker Peyton Benes, topped off the first half with a field goal to make it 17-0.
In the second half, it started off fairly slow.
Olivet kicked a field goal to make the score 17-3.
Later in the second half, Olivet’s Running Back, Evan Leake, scored a touchdown to make the score 17-10.
With the Cougars stellar defense, Olivet was unable to put up any more points. In which the game finally ended with a final score of 17-10.
Next week, the Cougars take on Missouri Baptist University at home.
