Saint Xavier University (SXU) announced the passing of student-athlete Mason Santiago on Mon. Sept. 16.
SXU President Keith Elder, Ph.D., MPH, MPA shared the news with the SXU community in an email message.
Elder said , “It is with profound grief that I share news of the unexpected loss of SXU student-athlete Mason Santiago.”
Santiago was a sophomore at SXU, focusing on sports communication “and a cherished member of the SXU football team,” Elder Explained.
Elder continued “Saint Xavier’s close-knit community is here to support students through this challenging time.”
Details regarding services will be provided as they become available. “All prayers are with the Santiago Family,” voiced Elder.
