Now is the time to start transitioning into our spring and summer wardrobe! Spring 2015 has put off a boho chic vibe that allows women to be stylish, yet comfortable at the same time. For men, clean cut is in with an urban twist. Long hair that can be tousled into a top bun, and shaggy haircuts are popular, and what is catching womenâs attention.
As mentioned in a previous article, 70s will be making its debut come this summer. Along with bell-bottoms, and platforms, leather, floral, and nudes will also be the essentials this spring. First there was New York Fashion Week, now 6,665 km away in Paris, that showed fashion week is in its prime.
Some key essentials that are vital to wardrobe for women are: booties, bold print, and a kimono-style trench coat or blazer, will set off any outfit. For men: darker neutrals, desert boots, and a statement blazer will get you noticed.
Designers like Alexander McQueen, and Kanye West, have proved less is more with recent fashion statements during fashion week. Kanye West collaborated with Adidas at New York Fashion Week, which allowed the artist to reveal his army who wore oversized pieces inspired by military wear.
Alexander McQueen decided to focus on flora-like prints, and leather. To take a break away from heels, gladiator sandals will have you feeling and looking like a goddess. Some color pallets to follow should include army green; neutrals, and mustard yellow will be popular in your favorite clothing stores.
Itâs easy to say, this year, fashion took a more laid back approach, which made fashion trends accessible to any and everyone. Flared pants, bohemian loose tops, and a comfortable shoe is going a long way.
With nostalgia of older styles, denim, and even in the form of overalls, will be accepted once again. Harpers Bazaar covered fashion week, and featured Stella McCartneyâs Good Jeans line along with Michael Kors, that displayed complete jean outfits that will be ready-to-wear this year.
Rustic looks are in, so the stress of matching will become nonexistent. With anything in fashion, put your own spin to it, have fun, and feel confident. Whether itâs a t-shirt, sweats, and a booties, or a cleaner version of the 70s style; own each look. Mix this yearâs styles up, and watch the compliments roll in.
