On March 1, Saint Xavier University’s Student Activities Board (SAB) and Student Government Association (SGA) will host a second fundraising event at Chipotle to raise money for Spring Formal.

The Chipotle fundraiser starts at 4 p.m., and is located at 2302 W. 95th Street in Chicago. It will end at 8 pm.

The first fundraiser was held at the Oak Lawn Portillo’s on Thursday, Feb. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 4020 W. 95th Street.

Posted on a mySXU portal announcement on Feb. 2, students are encouraged to “come out and help [SAB & SGA] raise some money to make our Spring Formal better than ever!” To partake in this year’s fundraisers, they must “bring a copy of the respective flyer to each restaurant on that day.”

Nada Alaraj, the Executive President of SGA, stated that if a student forgets a flier for the event they “can pull the flier up on Instagram.”

Alaraj continued: “Fliers will be posted on Instagram as well so they can pull it up on Instagram.”

Posters for the event can be found in posting zones around campus.

Alaraj also stated that SGA and SAB are “trying to raise as much money as possible,” and that these fundraising events and all money collected is “strictly for Spring Formal.”

If you are planning on attending the formal, be aware of the strict policies that will be followed. According to Alaraj “there are going to be some restrictions. The City of Chicago requires that the Spirit of Chicago, the boat we’re going to be on, is going to require vaccination cards.”
