Citizens concerned about government at the state and local level will have the chance to mingle with State Representative Kelly Burke (Democrat, Evergreen Park) and state Senator Bill Cunningham (Democrat, Chicago) and discuss government business at an event called “Coffee and Conversation”.

The event will be held on February 20 from 9:30 a.m until 10:30 a.m. at the Wrightwood-Ashburn Chicago Public Library, located 8530 S. Kedzie in Chicago.

According to a press release from Burke, “Burke and Cunningham will be available to discuss the ongoing budget negotiations, the upcoming spring legislative session, the help their offices can provide when navigating state programs or any other state issue.”

“As the state continues to operate without a budget, I’ll rely on residents’ opinions even more as I consider the difficult decisions that must be made during the upcoming months,” Burke said. “Please join me for this event to learn more about current events and help me move Illinois forward.”

The event is free and open to the public. If you are interested in learning more about the event or if you would like to make contact with these officials and voice your concerns that way, you may contact Burke’s constituent service office at (708) 425-0571 or send an email to: kburke@kellyburkerep36.org.
