Nintendo’s Blast from the Past

nes_classic_miniAre you feeling nostalgic and want to play old NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) games, but you don’t have the hardware to play those games? If you are like me, you have an NES in the house, collecting dust, but you don’t have the cables to hook it up to the TV. Even if you have the cables, they don’t usually work with modern TVs. Well, listen up, because I think Nintendo has answered your prayers.

On November 11th, gamers will be able to purchase the NES Classic Edition, which is just like a regular NES, except it fits in the palm of your hand and you don’t need to use cartridges. Let me explain.

Because it is such a hassle to set up an ancient console, like the NES, Nintendo decided to make a version that is easier to set up and easier to access games. Setting one up is as simple as ever.

The NES Classic Edition comes with an HDMI port so it could be hooked up to any HDTV with ease. Next, Nintendo did gamers a favor by preloading thirty classic games onto the system. No cartridges, no discs, they are already there, waiting to be played. You can play classics such as Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Pac-Man, and of course, Super Mario Bros. It wouldn’t be Nintendo without Mario. The Classic Edition also fits in the palm of your hand, so you can take it anywhere you want to. It could probably fit in your pocket, too. Last, but not least, Nintendo has brought back the old NES controller. It has the same design, buttons, and shape. There’s nothing more nostalgic than that.

If you are a Nintendo fan and don’t have a NES, I recommend getting this for your gaming collection, but good luck finding these bad boys on the shelves. These will probably be sold out as soon as it is released.
