This past Monday we witnessed the 2021 Met Gala, and I must say that this year’s Met Gala was a little disappointing. Because of COVID complications and vaccine requirements, a lot of our favorite celebrities skipped the show this year, and that left a lot of us feeling uninterested in watching the event. Although this year’s event did not deliver, there were still a handful of celebrities who had our jaws dropping! Here are the top 5 best dressed:
Number 5: Nikkie de Jager

Nikkie de Jager, better known as Nikkie Tutorials, graced the Met Gala red carpet with her teal-colored gown covered in bright pink and yellow flowers. Her look was topped off with a shiny, gold, flower crown, and a ribbon at the bottom of her dress that read “Pay It No Mind.” The 27-year-old beauty guru’s look was inspired by and paid tribute to late transgender activist Marsha P. Johnson.
Number 4: Chloe & Halle Bailey

Our favorite sisters Chloe & Halle Bailey quickly became fan-favorites with their very first Met Gala looks. While Chloe looked amazing in a heavenly all-white dress with a high split and silver shoes, Halle looked beautiful in her short, pink, shimmy, Tina Turner-inspired, bodysuit along with swaying pink shoes. The talented duo made a fashion statement with their looks inspired and made by fashion sisters Kate & Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte.
Number 3: Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner made a draw-dropping appearance at this year’s Met Gala, and as always, she never disappoints. The 25-year-old model somehow always outdoes herself and leaves everyone with no choice but to be a fan.
Jenner wore a Givenchy couture gown covered in sparkly crystals over a corset bodysuit and topped off the gorgeous look with a diamond-studded, high-neck, choker. Jenner paid homage to Audrey Hepburn’s look in the pivotal ball scene from the 1964 film “My Fair Lady”. Jenner posted a picture of the late actor in the stunning white couture gown to her Instagram story hours before hitting the carpet.

Shahidi made a star-studded appearance in a Christian Dior embroidered gown with a shiny, bronze, tulle, cloak with a stunning sheer train. The Josephine Baker-inspired look was topped off with two elbow-length gloves that matched the material of the dress, and a diamond-studded necklace.

For the absolute best dressed of the night, we have none other than the Somali American supermodel, Iman. The legendary model stole the entire fashion event with her gold Dolce & Gabbana X Harris Reed look. The supermodel glowed in an ethereal gold costume with brocade trousers along
with a 4-tier, feather, caged, overskirt. The look was paired with a jaw-dropping hairpiece that matched the material of the overskirt and topped off with extravagant accessories.
