Manasseh is the ‘Featured Artist of the Week’ for Aug. 10. Manasseh is a Soul-Psychedelic singer. He mixes R&B, Gospel, and words of encouragement into his music to create a sound that’s uplifting, and original.
Peter Kreten sits down with Manasseh to learn how “the why” motivates his music, how Brandy inspired his music, and how his mother served as his biggest inspiration and motivator.
R&B(eyond) is his new album and it’ll be released on Aug. 25.
Also on the program, the incredibly catchy indie rock of Holsman, the smooth jazz sounds of Alyssa Allgood, and the mod-rock sounds of Sharp Pins.
Finally, last week’s ‘Featured Artist of the Week’, French Inhaler is releasing their debut album ‘Practiced Lines‘ and will be doing a cassette release show on Aug. 13 at Sleeping Village with Abolishvictory!. Before the release show, you can hear their original film score to 1926’s Faust on Aug. 12 at Comfort Station in Logan Square.
773 Sounds is WXAV’s local music show. Hear it every Tuesday at 6pmCST and Saturdays at 10amCST.
