Jacob Elordi’s Many Upcoming Projects

The next couple of years will be quite busy for 2024’s biggest Hollywood heartthrob, Australian actor Jacob Elordi.

On Jan. 7, Deadline published an article announcing that Elordi will star as Frankenstein’s monster in an upcoming Netflix adaptation of the 1818 novel “Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus.”

He is set to star alongside Oscar Isaac, who will play Doctor Frankenstein, as well as Mia Goth, who is set to portray the Bride.

The film star initially stole the hearts of millions when he starred alongside Joey King as Noah Flynn in the 2018 romantic comedy “The Kissing Booth.”

The sweet, “lover boy” image the public had about Elordi was completely changed in 2019 with the release of the first season of the teen drama series “Euphoria.” Elordi was cast as the sociopathic, diabolical yet painstakingly handsome high school football player Nate Jacobs. Elordi shocked the world with his ability to portray a character who is angry and aggressive, one that is extremely different in comparison to Elordi’s initial role as Noah Flynn.

Elordi’s role as Nate Jacobs undoubtedly put him on the map and allowed for him to be taken much more seriously as an actor than he was in the less than popular “Kissing Booth” movies. Elordi amassed acclaim from fans across the globe, who fawned over his chiseled jawline and impeccable smile.

What really set the already widespread love for Elordi on fire was his appearance in the 2023 psychological thriller “Saltburn,” in which he played the love interest of the film, Felix Catton, a college student and the son of an extremely wealthy family. Elordi starred alongside Barry Keoghan, who played the sinister, manipulative main character, Oliver Quick.

Since the release of the massively successful project, fans all over a variety of social media platforms have once again shown their adoration for Elordi. Many have made edits of Elordi and others, even famous influencers such as former Vine figure Quen Blackwell, voicing their attraction for the actor.

2023 was undoubtedly a year to remember for Elordi; along with starring in “Saltburn,” Elordi portrayed Elvis Presley in the biographical “Priscilla,” which is directly based on Priscilla Presley’s 1985 memoir “Elvis and Me: The True Story of the Love Between Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock ‘N Roll.”

Elordi, once again, proved to audiences that he possesses a truly unique ability to play a diverse variation of roles. The accuracy of the plot, as well as Elordi’s impressive imitation of Presley’s deep Southern accent made for a believable story that critics praised, including Priscilla Presley herself, claiming it was “right on” according to an article from People Magazine.

Although Elordi’s career certainly reached a peak in 2023, he has much more in store for audiences in the coming years.

In addition to the upcoming “Frankenstein” project, which is set to be released in late 2025, Elordi is also set to portray the younger version of the main character, troubled writer Leonard Fife, in the upcoming film “Oh, Canada,” based on the 2021 novel “Foregone,” written by the late author Russell Banks.

Elordi is also set to star alongside British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones in “On Swift Horses,” directed by Daniel Minahan and based on the 2019 novel by Shannon Pufahl of the same title.

According to an article published by Screen Rant, the film is in post-production and will depict a young couple, Lee and Muriel, played by Will Poulter and Edgar-Jones, respectively, shortly after Lee returns after the Korean War. Elordi will portray Lee’s younger brother, Julius, who will end up in a love triangle with his older brother and his wife.

The upcoming films listed above are just a few of the others Elordi is currently set to star in. It seems that the great success the Australian superstar has accumulated has certainly not reached its peak yet, and it can definitely be expected that the actor’s career will continue to skyrocket over the next few years.

“Saltburn” and “Priscilla” are both available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, the “Kissing Booth” films are available on Netflix, and “Euphoria” is able to be streamed on HBO Max.
