Even though the temperatures have been fluctuating continuously lately, fall is finally starting to set in. This is usually the time when people start to changing out their wardrobe or completely revamping it. New trends have been coming in and here is your guide on how to go from frumpy to fabulous!
Sequin Pencil Skirt- This trendy skirt is all the rage, and can be potentially hard to pull off, but fear not. Here’s how to rock it! The sequins standout on their own, so the best item to pair it with is a simple, plain top or a fitted graphic tee. Avoid overpowering patterns because it will take away from the skirt, and you might turn heads for all the wrong reasons.
Don’t be afraid to go bold with some colors as well, because that will make you stand out even more. Sequins can be casual or fancy depending on how you want to dress. For a glamorous look, wear a nicer top, wear a pair of pumps, use a small clutch or cross-body purse, and wear minimal jewelry.
As for a casual look, you might want to wear a graphic tee, a pair of flats, and pair it with your favorite accessories. Put all of these components together and you are sure to wow at your next outing.
Plaid- Sure, everyone knows that plaid is a typical fall fashion staple, but did you know that there are other fashion items that contain plaid beside tops?
That’s right, skirts, pants, purses, boots, and any other fashion item you think of can contain plaid. Each article of clothing can be worn with pretty much anything if it is done right. A plaid skirt can be paired with a simple top, a pair of tights (tight color can depend on the color of the skirt), and some boots or flats. Plaid pants can be cute and classy.
Go for straight-cut pants and wear them with a nice blouse. This look can easily be transformed from a day to a night look with a few simple steps. During the day, you can pair your ensemble with some flats or even a pair of converse (if your feeling a little adventurous), your favorite purse, and some accessories.
At night, swap your flats or sneakers for some heels, switch your purse to a clutch, and if you want to change your accessories for something a little fancier, feel free to do so. A cute pair of combat boots can even have some plaid in them.
Some styles of the boots have the tops were you can flip them down to show of some pattern, and plaid is one of them. As you can tell, there are many plaid options you can use to spice up your wardrobe.
Turtlenecks- You may be thinking, “who wears turtlenecks anymore?” Well, if you have been living under a rock, they are actually back in, and can be very trendy depending on how you style it. Some styles are your typical turtleneck sweaters or blouses, while others have a little twist to them.
A new turtleneck trend that is everywhere is a style where it does not cover your whole neck (it basically looks like a collar). During Fashion Week this past year, this look was just seen as high fashion because many people were not on board with the look. Now, things seem to have changed.
People have been wearing it nicely with denim or black jeans, and even dress pants for a work look. You can accessorize this look with jewelry (minus necklaces obviously), a handbag, and stylish shoes. This look may not be for everyone but there are easy ways to make it your own look.
Tights- Tights are so simple and easy to add to your look. Pairing them with dresses or skirts make your style more interesting, depending on how you will rock the look. You can keep it basic by wearing a solid colored tight, or you can take a step on the wild side and opt for some patterns or unique designs.
A lot of the trends seen with tights this season are a floral-laced pattern, a fishnet-like design, and other intricate designs that are sure to complete your look. If you want to show off the tights, wear flats or heels. You can also complete your with a pair of stylish boots if you want to keep it comfy.
All these trends are big this fall, and some of them will most likely still be seen during the winter season. There are so many options to choose from, and these options will surely keep you looking fashionable all season long. Will you be on trend and rock these looks this season?
