Holiday Fun in Chicago

The holidays are upon us and there is so much to do and see in the city this season. Whether you want to stroll around and take in the scenery or partake in some fun activities, there is something for everyone. All of these events are already in full swing so here are just a few that you can do to finish out the year on a high note:

ZooLights – Take in the sights at Lincoln Park Zoo’s ZooLights. There will be ice carving, ice skating, holiday snacks and drinks, and of course lots of animals and lights! The event runs through New Year’s Day so make your way downtown if you get the chance.

Christmas Around the World – This annual event takes place at The Museum of Science and Industry. Numerous trees are decorated to represent different holiday traditions and cultures from around the world. The exhibit will be up until January 8. Winter Wonderfest – Now in its 16th year, Navy Pier’s Winter Wonderfest returns. Indoor rides, craft making, ice skating, and everything else you could practically imagine will be all packed into this one room. This event runs until January 8. Ice Skating at Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park – Have some outdoor fun and skate around with your family and friends downtown. Visit Millennium Park or Maggie Daley Park to skate the day away surrounded by the city. Admission is free for both ice rinks and you can either bring your own skates or pay a fee to rent them out. Skates at Millennium Park cost $12 and skates at Maggie Daley Park cost $12 Monday-Thursday and $14 Friday-Sunday and holidays.
