Much like the new feature that let you play games with your friends in iMessage for iOS 10, you can now play games in Messenger and in your News Feed with Facebook Instant Games.
Facebook Instant Games was launched on November 29th and allows users to play games without downloading anything. Do you want to know the best part of it is? It is cross-platform, which means if you are on your phone and your friend is on their desktop, or vice versa, you can still play with each other.
Facebook launched several titles including the popular Words with Friends, as well as older classic titles, like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Galaga. They are also thinking of adding a mix of classic and new titles, but that is for the future.
You can access these games in Messenger by clicking on the controller icon in the main menu. On the Facebook website, there will be a dedicated bookmark for games.
You and your friends will be able to share your high scores and achievements via the News Feed, which can get annoying, but if you wanted to brag about your high score in Pac-Man to your friends, you can do that!
Facebook also released a video showing off their new feature. Take a look and happy gaming!
