Four Steps to Plan a Friendsgiving

Posted on November 17, 2022

The holiday season has arrived and that means one of the most important holidays is quickly approaching: Thanksgiving.

As we all know, it is a time to be with loved ones, to gather, and to celebrate the importance of family through delicious food! Here’s how to have the best Friendsgiving, whether you’re spending it with family or friends.

Consider a color scheme or a theme.

When planning any  party or gathering, themes are essential. Themes inform your guests about what to expect when they arrive at the party, such as the mood, the food that will be served, what to wear, and much more.

Because Thanksgiving is already a theme in and of itself, using a color scheme to make your chosen  decorations stand out is also a smart idea. When you think of Thanksgiving, you think of fall, so try to experiment with colors like brown, white, and orange, as well as whatever else you think will suit the occasion!

Send invitations

Whether you can reach out via social media or by mail, it is critical that you plan for the event by determining who will be present. Invitations should be sent early in the planning process, so that you know how many people to expect and can shop accordingly for the number of items needed to serve every guest!

Assign each friend a dish.

Friendsgiving is all about bringing unique dishes to the gathering. Ask if your friends have any dishes they specialize in, and whichever friend specializes in a particular dish, put them in charge of that dish!

Confirm that everyone is at ease with the dish to which they have been assigned; you can determine this by asking each person what they are most at ease making. This way, no two friends will bring the same thing, and everyone will get a taste of everything!

Plan Entertainment

What good is a party if there is no entertainment? After you’ve completed all of the preceding steps, the  only thing left to do is to ensure you and your friends have the best Friendsgiving ever: have fun!

Before and after everyone eats, a series of card and board games such as Monopoly, Connect 4, UNO, and others, can be played! Everyone will not only enjoy delicious food, but they will also have a great time!

That’s all there is to it, so just follow these steps to plan the best Friendsgiving party ever!
