This year, the Saint Xavier football team topped off an impressive season by ten players earning a spot on the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) All-Academic Team.

To earn this honor, players must be at least a junior, have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.2 and finally, must play for a team that is part of the MSFA.

Players that received this honor for the year include Brian Studnicka, JD Barchard, Shane Zackery, Mike Bushnell, Zach Dolph, Spencer Nolen, Chase Catton, Jacob Ghinazzi, McHale Smith and Ryan Miles.

Coach Mike Feminis was very proud of his players. He said, “I’m really proud of these guys and what they have been able to accomplish. They fully understand that academics come first and to have 10 of our players be honored by the MSFA for their excellence in the classroom is outstanding.”
