A franchise I never bothered to watch until now is that of Tolkien’s Middle-Earth. I started with the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, then moved onto “the Hobbit,” and now “The Rings of Power.”
“The Rings of Power” dives deep into the history of Middle Earth, and the rise and fall of Sauron. However, this is not why I enjoy it.
The vast scenery, and the stunning special effects are what has me mesmerized at the moment. Whenever a location is shown for the first time, my jaw hits the floor whenever a view from afar is shown. It’s very immersive, and I believe it shows the true beauty of Middle Earth.
Additionally, Lady Galadriel is a fan-favorite character of mine, and seeing her origin story progress has been quite beautifully handled. Although the series may not be seen as such, I believe that it is worth watching.
