Features Staff Weekly Favorites – Music by John Williams

On November 1, perhaps the most requested film documentary was released, that being “Music by John Williams.” If you are a film geek, such as myself, you would know that hearing the original soundtrack brings out the heart and soul of what you see onscreen.

It is truly a joyous feeling, seeing into the life of the man behind legendary soundtracks such as “Star Wars,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and so many more. Guest stars such as George Lucas and Steven Spielberg spoke fondly about memories that they had with Williams.

Personally, I knew nothing about Williams. However, now I see that he came from a family of music, and has brought his own children into the mix.

Something that blew my mind was finding out that Williams’ son is the lead singer of Toto, the band best known for songs such as “Africa.”

“Music by John Williams” is now streaming on Disney+.
