In this day and age, it seems that fans will do just about anything to get close to their favorite celebrity. Jumping on stage, attacking their idol, chasing after their car, and trying way too hard to get a picture with them are just a few of the scary situations that celebrities endure due to their crazy fans.

These issues have been becoming more prominent lately and this poses as an unsafe problem for celebrities. Here are a few insane encounters that celebs have with fans and also a look at how things are changing due to these unfortunate circumstances.

Maroon 5 Front man Adam Levine Attacked on Stage

Last Monday, Maroon 5 was playing a show in Anaheim, California and lead singer Adam Levine got an unsuspected surprise. A female fan ran onstage and literally threw herself on the front man by wrapping her arms around him.

Of course, Levine was startled but handled the situation like a pro. At first he tried to push her away put then put his arm around her to try and calm her down. Eventually, security came and escorted her off the stage and Levine had some things to say about the situation.

He told the crowd, “It’s just weird to be, like, in the moment, you know? And you’re singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone’s (explicit) in your face … it’s super terrifying”. He also mentioned that the fan cut his ear with her fingernail.

Notoriously Bothers Celebrities

Vitalli Sediuk has been well-known for attacking celebrities within the past few years and has frightening them with his ridiculous antics. At a premiere in Moscow, Will Smith was asked for a hug by Sediuk but Sediuk had another idea. He tried to kiss Smith and he reacted by slapping Sediuk in the face.

In 2013, Sediuk rushed the stage when Adele won her Grammy and was motioned by Jennifer Lopez to get off the stage. He even stole Adam Levine’s seat and Levine had to sit on the floor next to Blake Shelton.

He struck again this time at a red carpet. At the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Sediuk dove under America Ferrara’s dress. He was immediately stopped and taken away. Sediuk held on to Bradley Cooper at the SAG Awards and a few people had try and help Cooper pry off Sediuk from him. The same situation also happened to Leonardo DiCaprio.

The last victim of Sediuk’s shenanigans was Brad Pitt at the Maleficent premiere. Sediuk dived over a barrier and latched onto Pitt. Pitt responded by cracking him in the back of the head twice (he said he did not hit him that hard, it was only to get his attention).

Beyoncé Pulled Off-Stage by Fan

Sometimes singers like to get a little close to their audience but this time it did not go as planned for Beyoncé. While performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil back in 2013, Beyoncé was crouching down towards the audiences and was pulled into the crowd by a male fan.

He threw both arms around her which caused her to be dragged into the audience. Security quickly swooped in to save Queen B and she was back on her feet singing. When the song ended, she made sure that the fan was not manhandled by security.

Other victims of crazed fans include: Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, 50 Cent, Harry Styles, Slash, Miley Cyrus, Simon Cowell, Paul McCartney, and many more.

Due to these situations, things are changing when it comes to how close you can get to a celebrity. Many musicians have had to stop brining fans on-stage because of the way they act. Some people have even complained that overzealous fans are the reason why people keep getting pushed further away from the stage.

Occasionally, celebrities are told not to stop and take pictures or talk to fans because the area might be overwhelming. Celebrities have become wary though because of fans actions.

Brad Pitt stated to People magazine about his crazy encounter, “I don’t mind an exhibitionist, but if this guy keeps it up he’s going to spoil it for the fans who have waited up all night for an autograph or a selfie, because it will make people more wary to approach a crowd”.

All in all, fandemonium continues to be at an all-time high. Fans need to learn that celebrities are human beings just like the rest of us. Try to take your craziness down a few notches fans!
