Constitution Day Held in Diner Atrium

Last Friday, September 16th , Constitution Day took place in Saint Xavier’s Diner Atrium from 11am-1pm. This event took place to inform students about what the Constitution is. It also gave them an opportunity to register to vote if they haven’t already. There was cake served to the students who participated and a small pocket book with information on the Constitution given out to students for free as well.

Caroline Kuzel, a student at Saint Xavier helping out with the event, said that around 70 students took time out of their busy schedules to either see what the event was about or register to vote.

For Saint Xavier, this was seen as a great turn out. This event is very beneficial for the students because it gives them a chance to vote and take action on the election that is currently taking place. If they never knew about the Constitution before, then this program definitely informed them. Plus, who wouldn’t want free cake while getting a little bit of an education?  As time moves forward, students may just pay closer attention to the election taking place and we can thank Constitution Day for this. Again, the turnout was a sweet success in the end.
