Binge Watching: Thanksgiving Edition

Gobble, Gobble! It’s almost turkey time! With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I wanted to provide a list of the best Thanksgiving TV episodes to binge watch on Netflix or other streaming platforms during break! A TV show that has multiple Thanksgiving episodes is Friends! The top 3 episodes to watch this Thanksgiving include:

“The One With the Rumor” (Season 8, Episode 9)

“The One With All the Thanksgivings” (Season 5, Episode 8)

“The One With the Football” (Season 3, Episode 9)

Another classic show to watch this Thanksgiving season is Gilmore Girls! This episode is jam-packed with Thanksgiving dinners and a whole lot to be thankful for. There are multiple Thanksgiving meals as well as a whole lot of drama to go along with each one. This episode is one of my favorites and shows how festive the town is and how they are all part of a huge family and loving community.

“A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving” (Season 3, Episode 9)

Some throwback tv shows to binge watch include One on One and Sister, Sister. These two Thanksgiving episodes will bring back all types of nostalgia and these two theme songs will always be bops! Even with busy family lives and a little tension in the air, these two episodes emphasize the importance of family and all the great things that they are all thankful for during this time of year. It really allows many to reflect and to appreciate the small things in life.

One on One: “Thanksgiving It to Me, Baby” (Season 1, Episode 11)

Sister, Sister: “Thanksgiving in Hawaii” (Season 3, Episode 9/10)

A Thanksgiving episode recommendation that might surprise some of you is the Thanksgiving episode of Dynasty! This show has an amazing Thanksgiving episode in its first season, it is filled with drama, suspense, and a dysfunctional family that will make you grateful for your own! It is crazy to watch all the events unfold throughout the episode! It is not as wholesome as the other shows that I have recommended, but it gets you in the holiday spirit and is a very eventful episode that will fail to bore anyone!

“Taste of Your Own Medicine” (Season 1, Episode 7)

Finally, a Thanksgiving episode classic would be from the hit show Modern Family! Growing up with this show, I always looked forward to the holiday episodes that would premiere during this time of year. This family made you laugh, cry, and smile all at the same time. Take a trip down memory lane and enjoy this throwback episode of the show that emphasizes the significance of family and togetherness.

“Punkin Chunkin” (Season 3, Episode 9)

I hope you all enjoy these classic Thanksgiving TV show episodes and spend quality time with loved ones in a safe manner this Thanksgiving! I know things will look different this year and it is hard to find the positives, but make sure to count your blessings and remind yourself about things you have to be grateful for this time of year. 2020 has truly been a year for the books and it is a chaotic time to be alive! Enjoy this Thanksgiving break and take some time to watch some of these shows and have a great laugh with those you love!
