Q: Last season, Rachael Dean led the cross country team a lot; did you receive any advice from her?
A: Not about running, but just about school in general and not getting in over my head.
Q: What are the best running shoes?
A: Mizuno is the best type of running shoes.
Q: Who is someone that you look up to as a role model?
A: As far as running goes I would say Emil Zatopek. He ran for the Czech Republic in the Olympics. He ran the marathon and the 10,000 meter (10K) which is really hard to do as a double. Just as a person though, I would say my mom; she is pretty cool.
Q: What is your favorite breakfast food?
A: Pancakes. Lots of them, lots and lots of pancakes.
Q: What is the most exciting trip you have been on?
A: Like two years ago, I went to Canada and I stayed on a half-acre size island with my best friend, her step dad and my mom. We did not have much stuff to do, but we just went swimming all the time.
Q: You are a history major, what do you want to do with that?
A: I want to study archives and cemeteries. As creepy as that is, that is what I want to do.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I have a bunny named Pickles and I have a dog named Lily.
Q: What is your favorite time of year?
A: My favorite season is cross country season. I like all seasons though other than winter because I do not like the cold.
Q: What is your favorite kind of animal?
A: Well it is kind of a tie because I like horses and I like sharks for varying reasons.
Q: Have you ever run a marathon before and would you like to run another one? What was the training like for it?
A: I would not like to run another one, but I have run one at Nationals last year. The training is just lots and lots of running pretty fast and exhausting yourself.
Q: What is one thing that has happened in your life that has made a big impact on you?
A: Coming to Saint Xavier obviously.
Q: If you had a million dollars, what would you go about spending it on?
A: I would pretty much give most of it away; I never want to be rich because I do not like money very much.
Q: Fill in the blank, I’m a blank and proud of it.
A: I am a student-athlete, and I am proud of it.
