This past week, the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its 2012 fall All-Academic Team. From the five fall sports that compete in the CCAC, Saint Xavier had 18 student-athletes named to the team.
In order to receive this honor, the athlete must have completed at least a year at Saint Xavier, have at least 30 credit hours finished and finish the fall semester with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
From the women’s volleyball team, Desiree Aramburu, Christine Bowe, Kelly Knudsen, Kayla Mullaney, Colleen O’Hara and Kelli Shaffer were recognized for this honor. The women’s soccer team had five players named to the team, including Sara Cervenka, Sam Formella, Nancy Schueth, Molly Sheehan, and Danielle Inzinga. Ashley Shares and Amanda Magee represented the cross country team on the All-Academic Team.
On the men’s side, the cross country team honorees included Ricky Olmedo, Shane Kenney, and Mark Catania. The soccer team had AJ Pfatschbacher and David Rodriguez named to the team.
