A Helping Hand
The Psych Club has done it again by reaching out to the student body at Saint Xavier by dedicating their time and efforts to inform people about children in hospitals. Just last week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the dining hall from 11am-1pm, they gave out Halloween cards for students to decorate to give to children in hospitals. Their mission is to give each and every one of these children hope that things will get better for them. The cards can be symbolized as hope and happiness for the children to hang in there and to continue fighting whatever illness they are facing.
The children who the Psych club are reaching out to are high school students battling various illnesses. The turnout just this past Friday, October 28, 2016 was very good. Lots of students stopped by to either create a Halloween card or to ask questions about what the Psych club were displaying. The mission is to, not only encourage the children in hospitals, but it is also to make the Saint Xavier students aware that children are suffering and that by spreading just a little bit of joy their way it gives them hope to keep pressing forward. The Psych club’s event was very successful and helpful to many people.
