THE INKWELL

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

Sometimes I sit around and wonder
Do I ever cross your mind?
Does the thought of me put a smile on your face?
I will never know
Until then, I’ll be
Sitting, waiting, and wishing

Do you get nervous anytime our paths cross?
Does the sight of me send shivers up your spine?
I will never know
Until then, I’ll be
Sitting, waiting, and wishing

Do I take your breath away?
Does your heart skip a beat when our eyes lock?
I will never know
Until then, I’ll be
Sitting, waiting, and wishing

Days continue to pass
Not a word has been spoken
But it is you that my heart has chosen
I don’t know what else to do
So until then, I’ll be
Sitting, waiting, and wishing

Disconnect

Let’s put the world away for a minute
Come sit next to me
Take in the beauty that surrounds you
In this moment, we are free

Nature surrounds us as we are on top of the world
And the sun smiles on the earth below
It gives a warmth and comfort
As we are engulfed in its heavenly glow

Feel the breeze gently touch the side of your face
As the swaying trees seem to dance
It is no wonder this place is beautiful
You will want to take a second glance

So let’s disconnect from the world
And enjoy this moment in time
If this time was wasted
It would be such a crime
