“Cougar Sports Den” to Grace Small Screen

No need to stare too long now; Wilkison, Swanson and Carroll (L to R) will be on TV next month.

Saint Xavier continues to get SXU TV off and running and a new type of student-generated content will be added to the mix.
The Cougar Sports Den, a WXAV 88.3 FM Chicago radio show, will be making its SXU TV debut in early April.
The show will simulcast on WXAV and live with both video and audio on SXU TV (www.sxustudentmedia.com).

In a previous issue of The Xvierite, (“Saint Xavier University Launches SXU TV,” September 18, 2013) Assistant athletic director of sports Rob Huizenga said that the purpose of SXU TV is to “create something where we could allow fans and parents and people unable to attend their children’s games or follow their favorite teams the opportunity of viewing it online.”

Adding the Cougar Sports Den to the SXU TV programming schedule will allow these fans to have an even more in-depth view of their favorite teams.

This also allows hosts Brandon Swanson, Pat Wilkison and myself a little more creative license.
When we are off the air on WXAV for public service announcements and underwriting spots, we can still be on camera having fun with the viewing audience.

The whole idea is to bring a new dimension to the show.

If all goes according to plan, the Cougar Sports Den will hit SXU TV on April 3 at 4 p.m.
Fans have a number of ways to give us feedback on how the show is going and how they feel about the idea to simulcast on SXU TV.
You can contact us on Twitter (@CougSportsDen) or via email (cougarsportsden.wxav@gmail.com) to ask questions or find out how you can become involved with the show.

Be sure to check Twitter in the coming weeks to find out when the Cougar Sports Den will officially debut on SXU TV.
Do not be afraid to grab a sneak peek of the TV fun to come when we hit the radio spectrum airwaves at 4 p.m. tomorrow.
