What’s better than waking up early on a Saturday morning, hopping in your car and getting an egg McMuffin from Mcdonald’s? Nothing, the answer is nothing. However, if you get there at 10:30 AM or later, your entire day can change for the worse in an instant.

Luckily, McDonald’s is finally thinking about how they can make their delicious McGriddles an all day thing. In the past, consumers have been taunted by the idea that this dream may come to a reality, but unfortunately it never came to fruition.

While they did make an attempt at extending breakfast hours, by serving select breakfast items starting at midnight, it was not enough.

However, the McDonald’s corporation will not be able to turn on the hash brown fryers immediately. Since the kitchens are very small, they have to come up with a way to accommodate the extended menu to be firing on all cylinders all day long.

But they better hurry up, because Taco Bell is hot on their trail by finally releasing their very own breakfast menu.

On March 27, Taco Bell will be rolling out the breakfast menus with some star items such as the A.M. Crunchwrap (scrambled eggs, a hash brown, cheese and bacon, sausage or steak all rolled into a flour tortilla) and the Waffle Taco (a waffle wrapped around a sausage patty or bacon, with scrambled eggs and cheese, served with a side of syrup).

McDonald’s better work fast, because while Taco Bell’s breakfast menu will not be available all day, it will be available until 11 a.m., which is half an hour later than the McDonald’s breakfast availability.

As a lover of all things breakfast foods, this war of the waffles is one that I will greatly be looking forward to.
