Edens is the ‘Featured Artist of the Week’ for Nov. 2. Edens released their debut album ‘Static Fiction’ in Oct. 2026. Inspired by the sounds of Sparklehorse, Echo & The Bunnymen, and The Replacements. Edens crafts a forward thinking Chicago sound.
In this ‘773 Sounds’ interview, host Peter Kreten sits down with guitarist and lead singer Jonathan Burden and drummer Pete Gray to learn how college radio and skateboard magazines were early influencers on their musical tastes, what it was like recording with Mike Lust at Jamdek Studios, and their approach to songwriting.
Also on the program, new music from the south side’s own Railway Gamblers from their new album called ‘Not Dead Yet’, and The Second Summer from their forthcoming album ‘I Should’. We’ll also be spinning new to the program David Safran, The Changing Seasons, and Los Tamales Jazz Band.
