French Inhaler are the ‘Featured Artist of the Week’ for Aug. 3. Consisting of Ashvin Prakash, bassist Adam O’Leary, and drummer Zane Chao, French Inhaler created a sound that combines Daft Punk with Joy Division.
Peter Kreten sits down with O’Leary to learn how French Inhaler came together, how their new album was, ‘Practice Lines’, was recorded with analog technology, and what it’s like scoring a silent movie.
New to ‘773 Sounds’ is Silk Parlor. A synth rock band, Silk Parlor with dark melodies, and a killer guitar solos. Also on the program Manasseh, who has a record release and birthday show on Aug. 21. The American Roots and classical sounds of Michael J. Miles, and the dream rock of Snowcuffs.
773 Sounds is WXAV’s local music show. Hear it every Tuesday at 6pmCST and Saturdays at 10amCST.
