The Department of Student Media is hosting its annual Student Media Summer Camp the week of June 23, 2025. The week long camp is open to any incoming high school freshmen and graduating seniors.
At Saint Xavier University’s Student Media Summer Camp, you’ll gain the skills needed to create dynamic, engaging content that will help you connect with an audience and give you a head start to a future in podcasting and audio production.
During the week, students will work with SXU staff and faculty to create, record, produce, and publish their own podcast. They will also create audio content for WXAV 88.3FM.
After participating in the SXU Student Media Summer Camp, students will be able to:
- Describe and identify broadcasting terminology.
- Develop a media campaign for a podcast.
- Identify ethical concerns in broadcasting.
- Produce original and cutting-edge podcasts.
