New Selena Album?

Posted on March 16, 2022

It seems like we’re getting a new album from the beautiful late Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla-Perez and some fans are very excited.

There is no official album release date, but Selena’s father Abraham Quintanilla believes Warner Bros. will release it sometime in April, which is the late singer’s birthday month.

Quintanilla gave an inside scoop of the album’s details in an interview with Jose Rosario of Latin Groove News. The album is set to have a total of 13 songs produced by Warner Bros. with the help of Selena’s siblings A.B. and Suzette Quintanilla.

A.B. worked closely with Selena’s music throughout her career, so it’s a no brainer that he is involved with the new album. It is said that these 13 songs have beautiful arrangements made.

Their father stated, “the music has been mastered, it sounds beautiful, it sounds incredible” to Rosario.

He also said there is a song on the album that Selena recorded when she was just 13 years old, but A.B. was able to master it to sound just like her before she passed away.

Selena’s sister Suzette is a part of the development of the album’s artwork.

All of this sounds very exciting.

The news of this new album has enlightened the late singer’s fans, but some aren’t too happy with it.

Fans have their own thoughts about the Quintanilla family’s actions towards commemorating Selena’s life after her death.

Selena’s father made a comment during his conversation with Rosario. He said, “today in social media people can say a lot of mean things.”

The family seems well aware of her fans’ thoughts, but still proceed to celebrate Selena’s life and legacy in a way they are all comfortable with.

The 27th anniversary of Selena’s death is on March 31, soon after we will be able to hear her unforgettable voice once again.

I’m excited to hear what this album has to offer. Check out Selena’s compilation album right here.
