Recently, many high school seniors have signed letters of intent to continue their athletic career at Saint Xavier. Many of these recruits will help our athletic program become even stronger and more competitive.
The softball team recently signed Callie Brown, a pitcher/outfielder from Des Moines, Iowa.Following her high school sophomore and junior seasons, Brown was honored with a third team selection on the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-State Softball Team.
The Cougar’s baseball team has also recruited a strong player in Casey Papp. Currently, Papp is a catcher at Joliet Junior College where he played an important role in getting the team to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series National Championship during his freshman year.
I’m sure Brown and Papp will continue to find success as Cougars next year! Welcome to SXU!
