4 Fun Activities SXU Students Can Do in the Fall

Hey, Cougars! As fall approaches, there are several activities to participate in to prepare for the season. From pumpkin patches to corn mazes, here are four fun fall activities for SXU students.

13th Floor Haunted House

You can’t talk about autumn without mentioning spooky events. The 13th-floor haunted house, on the other hand, is the ideal spooky experience to get you in the Halloween spirit. Two new experiences have been added to this year’s 13th-floor haunted house.

All Hallows Eve and the Outcast Carnival The attractions will feature performers dressed as the undead, giving carnivals and trick-or-treating a frightening, supernatural twist. Food trucks, mini escape games, and beverages are also available to visitors. Tickets cost between $25 and $30. Click here to get them right now!

Ravenswood Apple Feast

The Ravenswood apple feast focuses on delicious desserts that can be made with apples. The answer to “How do you like them apples?” will be revealed at the 34th Annual Apple Fest in Lincoln Square on October 2-3.

The festival is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days and offers fresh apples, cider, dumplings, pies, and other creations, as well as live music and activities. You’ll get a taste of a variety of apple confections, as well as plenty of other treats.

The Ravenswood apple feast is free to attend but bring cash for the delectable desserts. Learn more by clicking here

Neon & Light Museum

When autumn begins to fade, visit the Neon & Light Museum to see some vibrant colors! From September 9th to October 31st, this pop-up museum is available.

This wonderful experience has so much to offer, including the opportunity to get up close and personal with more than 60 works by light benders such as British artist Sarah Blood, feminist neon artist Zoelle Nagib, pop sign artist Jason Pickelman, and others! Some pieces are interactive, so visitors will be able to do more than just look and take pictures.

This pop-up museum is completely free to the public! Learn more about this lit event by clicking here
