Hi everyone,
It’s Pete again, and I just wanted to provide you with a quick update on WXAV’s streaming services. We are currently still talking with a couple of possible services, and we are hoping to begin moving on getting the new stream set up at the very latest early next week. There’s been a couple of technical situations that have developed, which we are currently are in the process of getting resolved. I hope to have new information for you very shortly.

Hello,

My name is Peter Kreten and I am the station general manager of WXAV 88.3FM and WXAV.com. For those of you reading this article, I would first like to say thank you. It is through the support of our listeners that allows WXAV to live up to its motto of being “The Escape of Ordinary Radio”.

I would like to inform you about some changes that are coming to WXAV in the very near future. Over the weekend, I received an email from our web-streaming provider Live365.com. The content of the message was to inform WXAV that Live365.com would be ceasing broadcasting operations as of January 31st, 2016. Because of this, the WXAV management team and I have begun searching for a new web-streaming provider, and have already begun initial conversations with several potential services. I promise that we will do our best to ensure that there will be no disruption in our online broadcast as we undergo this transition.

I am very optimistic that our transition will be smooth, however if you listen to us on the TuneIn Radio App, you may need to re-favorite the station. We are unsure of this prospect yet, but as soon as I have more details, I will let you know. Please keep checking our website (namely this post) as I will updating you with news and information. If at any time, you have a question, please feel free to contact the station at wxavnews@gmail.com

Thank you very much for your time, and I’ll be in touch.

Peter Kreten
