Looking to spruce up your home or dorm for the fall season? Pinterest has made it easier now more than ever to find great DIY’s that will turn any ordinary item into a work of art. Here are four simple, yet creative, Fall DIY’s that you can create this season.

cinnamon-stick-candlesCinnamon Stick Candles – This easy craft takes less than 20 minutes to complete and will have any room smelling amazing. All you need are cinnamon sticks, ribbon/twine, candles, and a rubber band. Full directions on how to complete the DIY can be found here. If you are not a fan of the scent of cinnamon, you can use twigs instead. The twigs will create a rustic-feel and still works for the season. As for the candles, you can either use the regular candles or put a tea light candle in a small glass candle holder.

leaf-lights

Autumn Leaf Fairy Lights – This inexpensive and creative DIY will brighten up any home or dorm. Real or fake leaves, wax paper, an iron, string fairy lights and Uhu glue are the essential items that you will need to complete the craft. Placing the leaves between the wax paper will preserve them (if you are using real ones) and you will be able to use it year after year. The lights can be hung inside or above your window, wrapped around the ceiling of a room, or anywhere else you can think of. For instructions, click here.

painted-pumpkin

Pumpkin Decorating – This isn’t your typical pumpkin decorating that you are used to doing each year. Skip the carving and take it to the next level by creating intricate designs and details on your pumpkin. All you need are some pumpkins and paint and you are good to go. Instead of choosing the classic orange pumpkin, try out a white pumpkin. Use gold or silver paint to make it pop. If a white pumpkin isn’t your style, go ahead and try any of these creative pumpkin decorating ideas with the pumpkin of your choosing.

leaf-jar

Leaf Mason Jar Candle Holder – Looking for another cute way to utilize a mason jar? Simply apply real or fake leaves on the outside of the jar with Mod Podge, and top it off by tying some rafia around the rim of the jar. It’s easy as that! A helpful tip would be to not apply the leaves perfectly; you want to make it look as if they have just fallen from a tree. To complete the DIY, place a real or tea light candle inside of the jar.
